Hyperhidrosis Information
Description
Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by a drastic increase in sweat production. It is debilitating disorder, both physically and socially. People afflicted with it have to worry about dehydration and are often teased due to the cues attached to sweat: nervousness or uncleanliness.
Causes
There are numerous causes for hyperhidrosis, some of which involve the endocrine systems, and many others which involve the nervous system. As such, treating hyperhidrosis often requires that you find out your individual cause. Only then will you be able to efficiently treat it.
Treatments
Due to the myriad of causes of hyperhidrosis, there are a ton of treatments. The most common treatment is prescription antipersipirant. This can cause irritation to the skin and is generally thought of as unsafe. Other conventional treatments include botulin injection (botulin is the most deadly poison in the world,) and surgery.
